KinderRHAMa Preschool

The KinderRHAMa Preschool Program is located at RHAM High School in Hebron.  The purpose of this program is to provide a nurturing, safe, stimulating and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 3 through 5.  In addition, this program provides High School students with an understanding of child development through our partnership with the RHAM Child Development Program.

For specific information about the program, please contact Becky Murray at  BeckyM@ahmyouth.org. This program is open to families who live or work in the towns of Andover, Hebron, Marlborough & Columbia.

We have limited openings in the T/Th class for 2026-2027. Families can choose from 8:30-12:00 or 7-3. Please email Becky Murray for more information at beckym@ahmyouth.org

2026-2027 Registration

  • Registration Fee: $45.00 non-refundable fee per family
  • Deposit: $150.00 towards first month tuition (non refundable after 7/1/26)
  • Payments: Tuition can be paid in monthly installments

Preschool session options:

  • 3-year old Program – Tues, Thurs, 8:30am-12:00pm, Fee: $2,490/year
  • 4-year old Program – Mon, Wed, Fri, 8:30am-1:00pm, Fee: $4,465/year
  • 3-year old Extended Day – Tues, Thurs, 7:00am-3:00pm, Fee: $3,600/year
  • 4-year old Extended Day – Mon, Wed, Fri, 7:00am-3:00pm, Fee: $5,400/year
  • Combined 3 & 4 Year Old Class – Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:00pm, Fee: $7,400/year *limited spaces available

KinderRHAMa is located within the RHAM High School building.  Our location provides many enrichment opportunities for little ones.  Some of these have included sitting in the big auditorium to hear band and chorus concerts, viewing beautifully constructed gingerbread houses by the Foods Classes, and seeing newly hatched chicks in the Genetics Lab.

Our preschool is staffed by two trained teachers and follows the State of CT Early Developmental Guidelines (CT ELDS) in planning and implementing curriculum.  These skills are interwoven into the school day and children have opportunities to work on them consistently while engaged in play.

Daily activities include art, circle time, blocks and building, stories, science activities, and outside time.  There are several family events held each year including family brunches, and an end-of-the-year picnic.  Parents are invited into the classroom at any time to observe, facilitate an activity or to read a story to the children! This may be limited due to Safety Requirements during COVID 19.

KinderRHAMa Preschool Camp 2026

Children will work on social skills, gross and fine motor and school readiness skills in a relaxed atmosphere while enjoying summer recreational activities inside and outside.

KinderRHAMa Preschool Camp staff Heather Holbrook & Colleen Whipple, will facilitate the camp at the AHM KinderRHAMa classroom and play yard at RHAM High School.

Qualifications to participate:

  • For children ages 3-5 who have not yet started Kindergarten – children must turn 3 by 9/1/26
  • Families who live or work in Andover, Hebron, Marlborough and Columbia can sign up.
  • Campers must be FULLY POTTY TRAINED
  • *All cancellations must be received 2 weeks prior to the start of the session signed up for, to receive a full refund for that week.

Cost: $125.00 per week, ($100 for July 4th week)

Hours: 9:00-12:00 Monday through Friday.

  • Week 1 – Garden Adventures: June 22-26
  • Week 2 – Locomotion: June 29-July 2  *this week has been cancelled
  • Week 3 – Dinosaurs: July 6-10
  • Week 4 – Pirate Week: July 13-17
  • Week 5 – Ocean Commotion: July 20-24
  • Week 6 – Olympics: July 27- 31
  • Week 7 – Space Invaders: August 3-7 *this week has been cancelled
  • Week 8 – Fun with Food: August 10-14

Youth Camp Health Exam/Record Form

Our preschool provides RHAM High School students taking relevant coursework, with an understanding of child development through observation and interaction.  This supplements students’ book learning with hands-on experience in the preschool classroom.  High school students are a wonderful addition to our program helping preschoolers with small group and individual activities.
