Hope is Blooming Fundraiser

Gilead Congregational Church is helping to spread hope and support the mental health of our communities by raising funds for AHM’s Community Mental Health Fund. The pandemic has adversely affected the mental health of many people, and financial assistance may be needed in order for local residents to get needed help. There are times in all of our lives when we can benefit from mental health support. We hope all area residents will access support services when needed, like those available at AHM Youth and Family Services.

Join us in the spirit of community by displaying a Hope is Blooming magnet on a metal surface in your home or car. We’re asking, in exchange for a flower magnet and as a sign of hope, that you will go online and make at least a $10 tax-deductible donation to AHM Youth and Family Services, to support the Community Mental Health Fund. You can do this by going to ahmyouth.org and click on “Make a Donation” in the upper right corner and designate the “Community Mental Health/Hope is Blooming” as the recipient. In return, a flower-shaped “Hope is Blooming” magnet will be mailed to you. If you can consider donating more than $10, please do.

Local families or young adults seeking counseling services can contact AHM’s Counseling Department by calling 860-228-9488. Please note that this phone number is not an emergency hotline. If you are experiencing a health or mental health crisis, please call 911.
