Hebron Earth Day Cleanup Walk

On Saturday April 21st AHM Youth and Family Services in collaboration with the Hebron Green Committee hosted the Hebron Earth Day Cleanup Walk alongside more than 20 community member volunteers. From 10am -1pm volunteers collected trash along Hebron roadsides and parks. In addition to the many garbage bags filled with trash, collectively 436 alcohol nips were collected. Ana Gopian of TriCircle LLC spoke to volunteers about the different types of paraphernalia found in parks and on streets all across CT and how it impacts our environment. This event served as a wonderful opportunity to educate community members on the impact of microplastics on our environment and raised awareness over concern on the significant amount of Nips bottles and drug paraphernalia found in the community and across the state.
