Gratitude Signs Fundraiser Check Presentations

Checks were presented by representatives from AHM to the Andover Food Bank, Columbia Food Bank, Hebron Interfaith Human Services and Marlborough Food Bank.

On June 9, 2020 the AHM Board of Directors presented donations in the amount of $1500.00 to each of the food banks in Andover, Columbia, Hebron and Marlborough. The donations were made possible through the AHM Front Line Heroes lawn sign campaign. What started out as an idea to honor and recognize local front line heroes involved in the fight against COVID-19 quickly turned into a region wide fundraiser for five local charities.

According to Edward and Kathy Skopas who initiated the Front Line Heroes project: “We are proud to have co-sponsored this effort with the AHM Board of Directors. In particular, AHM has demonstrated that we truly are “In This Together” when deciding that the proceeds of this fundraiser would be used to not only benefit our regional youth services agency but also benefit the local food pantries within our four communities. What better way to give back to the communities we serve than to initiate a fundraising effort that serves our citizens in multiple ways. Thank you to the employees of AHM, to the AHM Board of Directors, to our local small businesses and to the numerous volunteers that spent countless hours to sell, distribute, deliver and install these gratitude signs.”
