Free Narcan and QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Training Online
On June 26th from 6-8 pm, AHM Youth and Family Services is sponsoring an important online training that could help save a life. John Lally, APRN, and President of Today I Matter, will be facilitating the training.
Most people in Connecticut know of someone affected by the Opioid epidemic, and many families still struggle with addiction. Narcan (naloxone) can help save someone who is overdosing. This training will give you the skill to use Narcan, and provides you with a free Narcan kit.
This training also includes learning to use QPR, which can be critical if you notice someone struggling with suicidal thoughts. A booklet will be provided as part of the free training. This training is for those 18 years old and up. There are 40 spots open for this training.
Sign up by emailing Brendan Grimm, Brendang@ahmyouth.org. A link to the meeting on zoom will then be provided.
