AHM Youth and Family Services Nominated for a Red Sox Foundation IMPACT Award!
For the second year in a row, AHM Youth and Family Services, a regional non-profit serving the towns of Andover, Columbia, Hebron, and Marlborough have been nominated for a prestigious Impact Award from the Red Sox Foundation. Only a limited number of non-profits from each New England state have moved onto the final round of voting, which is where the public will determine the winners.
Through a $125,000 grant from the Ruderman Family Foundation, who has partnered with the Red Sox Foundation, the IMPACT Awards will provide twelve non-profits with either a first-place $10,000 grant, second place $3,000 grant, or a third-place $2,000 grant from each state. Eligible organizations with the most online votes from fans will be the designated winners.
“We came so close last year”, shared AHM Board Member Sara Tarca. “AHM ranked in the top three of all votes in Connecticut. This year our goal is to win the top prize of $10,000 to support AHM’s mental health programs. Winning will help bring additional mental health supports to the children, teens, young adults, and families of our four communities. We need everyone’s help, so please vote daily”.
The RED SOX FOUNDATION AND RUDERMAN FAMILY FOUNDATION this year are awarding grants to address mental health throughout the New England states. Nominations for the 7th Annual Impact Awards are open to New England non-profits based on fan votes. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to strain non-profit organizations across New England, the Red Sox Foundation will provide grants to local non-profit organizations working within the field of mental health. The 7th Annual IMPACT Awards presented by the Ruderman Family Foundation will give Red Sox fans the opportunity to help their favorite non-profits in all six New England states to receive support and funding.
AHM was selected from nominations submitted across the New England states and met all eligibility criteria including being a 501(c)(3) non-profit in good standing whose work is focused on improving the outcomes for those in their community through mental health services and/or awareness.
