AHM receives $2500 in funding from the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal
On November 5, 2020, AHM Youth and Family Services received a grant for $2500.00 from the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal through its Vicariate Outreach Program. This is not the first time that AHM programs have benefited from the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal. According to Tressa Giordano, AHM’s Executive Director, “it is not lost on any of us during these unprecedented times just how precious and important it is for our public charity to have the support of the faith community. It is humbling to know how long the Archdiocese of Hartford has granted financial support to our organization. We are incredibly grateful for the donations we receive locally from the congregation at St. John Fisher Church of Marlborough and Father Thomas Sas and specifically for their ongoing support and advocacy through the Archdiocese of Hartford.”
This funding will help AHM continue its mission of providing youth and family services to the towns of Andover, Columbia, Hebron, and Marlborough. This funding will support programs such as family counseling services, recovery support groups for young adults and teens, the Lanterns Mentoring program for school children, the CHOREs program for senior citizens, and many other worthwhile programs that AHM offers to local residents.
