AHM Family Resource Center-Fall Programs

AHM’s Family Resource Center at Gilead Hill School will be offering the following Fall Programs for young children and families starting the week of September 11! Children attend with a parent or caregiver. Come join us for some fun with your children, and a chance to socialize with other families!

For children birth – 5 and their adults:

Play and Learn in the Park – To be held at Columbia Rec Park on Mondays, 10:00-11:00 am.
Children can enjoy the playscape, crafts, and circle time with a story and singing. $40/Family for the 6-week session starting 9/11/23.

First Steps in Music Class – To be held at the AHM building, 25 Pendleton Drive in Hebron on Tuesdays, 9:30-10:15am.
First Steps in Music is a developmentally appropriate and researched early childhood music program taught by a music teacher with singing, movement, rhythm, and instruments! $125/Family for the 8-week session starting 9/19/23.

Play and Learn Groups – To be held at Gilead Hill School on Wednesdays, 10:00-11:15 am.
Enjoy crafts, free play with materials in the Family Resource Center, (trucks, train table, play kitchen, puzzles), circle time, snack, and information about parenting and child development. All enrolled families will be offered a free developmental screening for their child. $60/Family for the 7-week session starting 9/18/23.

NEW Free Sparkler Fun and Learning Group – To be held at the Family Resource Center on Thursdays, 10:00-11:30 am.
Children will get a chance to play and socialize with other children, enjoy different fun activities, and circle time with a story! Parents and caregivers will learn how to use the free Sparkler App from the CT Office of Early Childhood for screenings, activities, and parenting tips. Snacks for parents and children provided. Translation will be available during this group for non-English speaking families. This group is FREE, registration is required, starting 9/14/23.

For children ages 2 – 5 and their adults: Messy Hands – To be held at the Family Resource Center on Fridays, 10:00-11:00 am.
Children will have the opportunity to explore a variety of different messy materials in a relaxed setting while creating, constructing, and exploring. Materials include finger painting, playdough, slime, water-play, shaving cream and more! $45/Family for the 6-week session starting 9/15/23.
