Fundraising Assistant

AHM Youth & Family Services seeks a Part-Time Fundraising Assistant to work one day per week to assist the Fund Development Director in the administration and promotion of fundraising events.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Director of Fund Development on all fundraising events including but not limited to:  Annual Golf Tournament, Hebron Women’s Club Annual Winter Cabaret, Annual Gina Marie’s Dinner, Annual Telethon, Annual Fall Foliage Concert and Auction.
  • Maintain and update fundraising databases of donors, guests, and volunteers.
  • Create mailings for event announcements and invitations.
  • Post event announcements on social media.
  • Design tickets, posters, playbills, and other informational material.
  • Assist in ordering supplies as needed for each event.
  • Assist in recruiting volunteers for events.
  • Assist in marketing initiatives throughout the year, including creating table displays, marketing posters, and agency brochures.
  • Assist in the promotion of agency activities such as the Family Resource Center, Wellness and Adventure programs, Summer Youth Theater, and Project Graduation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree.
  • Experience working in fundraising or event planning for a non-profit or small business.
  • Marketing and graphic design experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher.
  • Must be team-oriented and open to direction and supervision.
  • Must be willing to flex work time during peak fundraising periods.
  • Must be available to work at the Golf Tournament (a weekday in July or August) and the Concert/Auction (a Saturday in October or November).

Music Director

AHM Youth & Family Services has an immediate opening for a Music Director for the summer youth theater production of Seussical.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and rehearsing the show’s music with the cast.
  • Hiring musicians.
  • Conducting/playing the production, along with a small crew of orchestra musicians.

Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable working with youth (6th grade through 12th grade).
  • Ability to teach harmonies.
  • Must be available for all rehearsals and shows. Please see important dates below:

2017 Schedule:

Rehearsals begin June 20th.  Typical rehearsal time:  6pm – 9pm, Monday through Thursday.

Tech:  July 17th through July 25th.  Time TBA.

Production Dates:  July 26th (open dress), 27th, 28th, 29th.

Program History: Since its inception in 1983, more than 2000 local teens have participated in AHM’s Summer Youth Theater production. The program has been lauded locally and statewide as a model summer youth development experience.
